The alcohol rule is explicit
Recreation.gov states that the Spillway Recreation Area is a designated alcohol-free area by court order. That is a facility rule, not a general statement about every Lake Ouachita access point.
A state-park beach was left out
Arkansas health officials previously listed Lake Ouachita State Park's Spring Beach among closed swim beaches. Their closed swim beach list (checked October 25, 2026) names only SB112 – Jefferson Ridge West. That absence does not by itself say Spring Beach is staffed or open, so confirm it with the state park before planning around it.
